Jim and Maggie Zinser were born and raised in Clare, MI.  In 1969 Jim and Maggie bought a regional rodeo company and over the years advanced to the elite rodeo association of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys's Association.  Throughout those years Jim raised rodeo bucking horses and bulls and J Bar J was at the height of proficiency when they sold their rodeo company in 2008.   Shortly thereafter they also sold their premiere ranch raised bucking horse stud, NightJacket, for a record breaking $200,000.00.  They also sold several bulls for outstanding prices that were ranch raised and they also sold semen from the top bulls that had been to the National Finals Rodeo.  The Zinser's have years of experience in breeding top notch livestock.  

After selling the rodeo company in 2008 the Zinser's decided to become involved with the Simmental or Sim-Angus cattle.  With the help of their nephew and his family who have been in this business for years, J Bar J Ranch is now raising top notch Simmental/Sim-Angus cattle.
